Episode o1: Abuela Camila (Part 1)

In our first episode, we begin our ancestry journey with our great-great-grandmother, Abuela Camila. She was born in the late 1800s in Morovis, Puerto Rico, located in the northern-central part of the island.

For over a hundred years, our families worked on fincas and lived off the land. Abuela Camila was a stern, yet fair woman as a farmer, medicine woman, wife, and mother to sixteen children.
